..."This year, among the Kochs’ aims is to spend a projected four hundred million dollars in contributions from themselves and a small group of allied conservative donors they have assembled, to insure Republican victories in the 2018 midterm elections. World Beyond War conference and action in Washington, D.C.,

The conference is on Friday September 23 through Sunday September 25, with a nonviolent action on the 26th, with support from Campaign Nonviolence.

World Beyond War is planning a big event in Washington, D.C., in September 2016, just after the International Day of Peace, including a conference on Friday September 23 through Sunday September 25. We’re also working with the National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance (NCNR) which is planning a nonviolent activism training and planning session on the 25th and a nonviolent action in D.C. on Monday morning September 26th, with support from Campaign Nonviolence.

As the war system keeps societies in a state of permawar, we have reached  a stage in human history at which we can say with confidence that there are better and more effective alternatives. Of course we know the question: “You say you are against war, but what’s the alternative?” This event will develop answers to that question, building on World Beyond War’s publication A Global Security System: An Alternative to War. (A second edition will be published before the conference and we welcome all input!)

Friday and Saturday events will be livestreamed at TheRealNews.com and videos posted there within three days after.
