End U.S. participation in the slaughter of Yemenis
Sign our letter of support today and call for an end to unauthorized U.S. involvement in war on Yemen!
House Congressional Resolution 138 now has 49 cosponsors. If passed, it would require an end to U.S. participation in the slaughter of Yemenis within 30 days.
In the Senate, Bernie Sanders has announced that he will again introduce similar legislation in November. When he did so this past March, 44 Senators voted for it. The horrors have only increased since then, with no solution or improvement in sight. The Pentagon's assurances cannot be taken seriously. And the scandal surrounding the murder of a journalist has made standing up to Saudi Arabia easier.
We can build on this momentum and move Congress to end the war and to end weapons sales to Saudi Arabia. Click here to quickly email your Representative and Senators.
The war that is destroying Yemen and threatening the death by starvation of millions of children is dependent on both the participation of the U.S. military (picking targets and refueling bombers) and U.S. weapons sold to Saudi Arabia.
Back in March, Defense Secretary James Mattis claimed that the U.S. pulling out of the war would create more civilian deaths, rather than fewer. No Senator should be permitted to treat such nonsense as anything other than nonsense after these past six months of killing.
