October 31, USA: Fair Trade Halloween action
Global Exchange’s Fair Trade Cocoa Campaign: Reverse Trick-or-Treating!
On Halloween night 2007, schoolchildren, high school students, college students, and adults across the US and Canada will unite to:

  • END poverty among cocoa farmers.
  • END forced/abusive child labor in the cocoa industry.
  • PROMOTE Fair Trade.

While trick-or-treating door to door in their communities, kids will be..

  • Distributing information about these social justice issues.
  • Handing out Fair Trade chocolate.
  • Attracting the attention of their local media.


October 4-13, 2007.  Keep Space for Peace Week
International Days of Protest to Stop the Militarization of Space:
No Arms Race in Space; Stop Star Wars Research & Development;
Convert the Military Industrial Complex; Fund Human Needs. The week will be full of events and protests to stop the weaponization of space. See list here.

Faslane 365: women's action to support nonviolent blockade at the
Trident nuclear base.
